• I founded PropertyGuru ("South East Asia's answer to RightMove") out of personal frustration after struggling to find a new home in 2007. I set out to make South East Asia’s real estate market transparent and “empower consumers to make confident property decisions”.
• I led the business as CEO for first 10+ years, growing it with my co-founder Jani, from scratch into a tech unicorn used by 40 million people monthly in 5 countries, and with 1,300 staff. We delivered a 40x return on investment for our early shareholders, brought in blue chip investors including TPG and KKR, an IPO on New York Stock Exchange (“PGRU” NYSE ticker) and eventual buy-out by global PE fund EQT in 2025.
• PropertyGuru received a number of industry awards including Hitwise #1, CNBC World's Best Property Portal, SVCA Best Performing VC Backed Firm, SiTF Best E-Enterprise and Best Mobile Application, HRD Employer of Choice Bronze Award, Mob-Ex Gold Best App and Influential Brands Outstanding Digital Brand Award.
