About

I started my career in management consulting. Today, I enable banks and financial institutions to deliver world class digital banking experiences to their customers. Along the way, I explored my interests in multiple sectors - Education, Online Marketing, and AdTech. It's been a journey of interesting ideas, of taking bets, and of incredible people. More than that, it's been a journey of passion, of making choices, and of self-discovery.

Senior Product Manager

Apr 2019Jul 2022 · 3 yrs 3 mos

  • By Spring 2019, after three enriching years in online marketing and AdTech, I yearned for new challenges and greater responsibilities in people management. This led me to Zeta, where I initially managed our Corporate Cafeteria product, Express. Within a year, my team and I had innovated India’s first offline menu management and POS system, serving over 700 cafeterias. Despite the product's sophistication, we faced scaling challenges, leading to its phased discontinuation & graceful sunset.
  • This opened new doors in the enterprise payment space. We identified a significant opportunity in the UK, leading to the creation of Spotlight, Zeta’s comprehensive platform for Gifting, Loyalty, Marketplace, Corporate Rewards, and Recognition. We launched Spotlight in 2021, successfully engaging over 2 million users.
  • My journey at Zeta was only beginning, each step a testament to our leadership and our pursuit of excellence.

Media.net

Product Manager - AdFraud & Brand Safety

Jun 2017Feb 2019 · 1 yr 8 mos · Bengaluru Area, India · On-site

  • Having explored the organic side of digital marketing, I wanted to explore building products in AdTech. Media.Net was therefore, an obvious choice.
  • Media.Net is, arguably, among the finest workplaces I have been in, in terms of the abundance of technical talent and an unrelenting focus on growth and productivity - all while remaining bootstrapped.
  • As the Product Manager responsible for our AdFraud & Brand Safety Analytics suite, I took care of product development, growth, GTM strategy, and market relationships. My time at Media.Net has been a humbling experience where I learnt something new at work every day. I've learned the importance of unit economics, building products at pace, and how important it is for Product Managers to earn the respect of engineering teams.
  • I took the difficult decision of leaving Media.Net in spring 2019 to try my hand in a new industry, and to build more consumer focused products at scale.

Iquanti, inc.

Associate Product Manager

Jun 2015Mar 2016 · 9 mos · Bengaluru Area, India

  • I interned at iQuanti in the summer of 2010. At the time, it was 10 people strong led by a charismatic CEO in a small rented house in West Bangalore. I had briefly considered getting on board full-time in 2012, but decided otherwise at the time. And in 2015, life came a full circle when I decided to join a bigger and more charismatic team at iQuanti in my first stint as a Product Manager.
  • I was the Product Manager for iFuturist - a tool that aims to predict the future of internet searches and augment content and digital marketing campaigns. I primarily owned the product functionalities, GTM strategies and product business roadmaps. I also ended up driving inbound marketing and PR campaigns for the organization and had a lot of fun writing customer and market insight articles that eventually featured on International Business Times, The Boston Globe, New York Times etc.
  • Personally, it was a time of great learning. I learned about what it takes for startups to grow bootstrapped, what their teething troubles are, what it takes in terms of driving a collective vision for the organization, and what it means to be entirely responsible for the product you own.
  • In March of 2016, I took the difficult decision to move on from iQuanti, only made sweet by the fact that I was going to spend a year at ISB.

Hcl talentcare

Senior Executive - Program Office

Aug 2014Jun 2015 · 10 mos · Chennai

  • 2 years into my career, I'd decided to work on getting myself into a B School. When I was on my notice period and preparing myself for B school, a chance conversation threw up an opportunity that I shelved my B school plans for - HCL was getting into the skill development sector, and I had the opportunity to help set up the organization grounds up.
  • I had the incredible privilege of being the fourth person in through the door. As the juniormost person on the team, I had the enviable opportunity of working closely with Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Development and HR teams.
  • While my primary responsibility lay with the Program Office (later rechristened the Business Solutions Group), I was able to sit in and contribute to meetings and decisions that shaped the future of the organization. The lessons I learned were not just in organization building but also in humility, grace, the importance of identifying an opportunity, and of hard work.
  • A year in, after having launched our first program in the IT space, the overhang from HCL Technologies in dictating operations of the organization increased, and I moved out to pursue another interesting opportunity.
  • Note: HCL TalentCare aims to be an integrated talent solutions company, addressing the graduate level skill gap and the specialization needs in industries such as IT, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Banking. HCL TalentCare would also be a Private Skill and Employment Exchange to potential employers.

Deloitte

Business Technology Analyst

Jun 2012Jul 2014 · 2 yrs 1 mo · Bengaluru Area, India

  • I was toying around with multiple ideas and opportunities just as I graduated from engineering school, and it was among my most well-considered decisions to start my career with Deloitte - A decision that I look back with great satisfaction.
  • Deloitte was a great place to make a transition from a student to a professional; habits I inculcated at Deloitte, I carry to this day. Deloitte gave a young, enthusiastic college graduate the opportunity to talk to, and learn from people who've been there, done that. I learned a great deal about organizations and process, but my greatest lesson was in the art of networking and the importance of conversation.
  • Although I've now pivoted away from my role at Deloitte, my learnings from working on SAP implementations have been of great value in my Product Management career.
