I've always been fascinated with the world that sits at the intersection of culture, media and tech. This is what drew me to a career in media and entertainment. I have 15+ years of experience in marketing, strategic partnerships, team management, growth and business operations. As the Head of TuneCore, South Asia I am responsible for growing and managing the company’s artist roster in the region. Prior to TuneCore, I was was with podcast network Luminary and JioSaavn, the leading music streaming platform for South Asians. At Luminary, I ran the International business overseeing localisation for key markets through content acquisition/content development, marketing and PR. At Saavn, I was a part of the founding marketing team. I specialise in content and community led marketing to drive brand growth. In 2018, Saavn was acquired by Jio, India's largest telecom operator to form JioSaavn in a deal valued at over $1 Bn. I co-led the rebranding efforts with the merger and remained on in the newly formed JioSaavn until 2022, heading the global creator and consumer marketing team. My work at JioSaavn has been recognized by Exchange4Media in their annual Content 40 under 40 (2020), Marketing 30 Under 30 (2021) and Social Samosa’s India’s Best Marketers & Media Planners (2021). I was also a mentor at SXSW 2019, representing the Indian media and entertainment industry. Before Saavn, I spent the early years of my career in advertising working with leading agencies like BBDO, BC Webwise and White Rivers Media where I was responsible for social media strategy and content management. I was also a co-founder of one of India's earliest podcasts and the first one dedicated to rock and metal from the country called TFS Podcasts. I also co-host The Indian Music Charts Podcast, a first of its kind music business podcast that focuses on the Indian market and is frequently on Apple Podcast's top 5 music shows in India.
