In today’s overzealous hyperconnected world do you use artificial intelligence? Well, I don't. Because I use mine. :) Yes, that's me. "Watch me to know me". I once asked the Finance Minister about her perspective on rule- based and principle based regulation. I was the first to ask the RBI Governor what his view on cryptocurrency was way back in 2020. When I asked the SBI Chairman about Sandbox, hardly anybody had a clue then about such terminology…..I generate questions the size of ten megabytes and am honored to have interviewed more than 1000 Finance Leaders across the world. I have moderated more than 500 expert panels both in India and internationally, where I’ve led discussions on critical topics such as digital transformation in BFSI, FinTechs, strategies, CXO’s, innovations, DPI, etc. These sessions have featured some of the most influential leaders, including Nandan Nilekani, Sopnendu Mohanty, KV Kamath, Mark Mobius, Dinesh Khara, Harsh Mariwala, Dr. Marc Faber, Ram Charan, Aswath Damodaran, Rajnish Kumar, TS Anil, Keki Mistry, and Ramdeo Agarwal. I cover the whole BFSI. Economy, Banking, Finance, Insurance, NBFC, FinTech ( InsureTech, payments, digital lending credit). I must say that my coverage of digital lending by FinTechs was way ahead of anyone else, and I predicted the downfall of BNPL and digital lending Basically, I have been working as a finance journalist for 17 years and am currently serving as an Editor at The Economic Times for ETBFSI.com and ETCFO.com. I must say, I am a founding editor of ETBFSI. I worked for a decade in TV Media at CNBC TV 18 and Zee Business. I am trying my best to redefine finance journalism in the 4x5 inch size in the world of UI and UX. I often discuss my learnings with management students and I love igniting young dynamic minds. After spending a decade in Television Media, I transitioned to the digital space in 2017 with the mandate to launch FinBizness.com, India’s first dedicated video news platform for the BFSI sector. The vision was to provide in-depth coverage of banking and finance by focusing on the most relevant trends shaping the future of the industry.
Within just three months, we built the website from scratch, recruited a skilled editorial team, and went live with a clear mission: to publish one high-impact video story every day. Our editorial lens remained sharply focused on both current developments and emerging trends. Alongside comprehensive coverage of Banking, NBFCs, Insurance, FinTech, and the Economy, we explored forward-looking themes such as tokenisation, cross-border payments, and cryptocurrencies — areas that were otherwise underrepresented in mainstream financial media.
FinBizness also gained recognition on the global stage. We covered landmark international events like SIBOS, Singapore FinTech Festival, and Money20/20. During my stint at Finbizness I had the privilege of interviewing more than 200 CXOs and global financial leaders.
As Founding Editor, I played a pivotal role in positioning FinBizness.com as a credible, pioneering voice in India’s digital financial media landscape.
