About

As a seasoned Indian journalist with over 17 years of experience in critical breaking news situations and editorial leadership roles, I've had the privilege of covering some of the most significant events in recent history including Operation Sindoor, Israel-Hamas war and SCO Summit in China. At present I serve as the Senior Executive Editor at NDTV for Geopolitics, National Security & Strategic Affairs. I am also the Research Consultant of blockbuster film Dhurandhar. Earlier at TV9 Network I've led the editorial strategy for Corporate, National Security & Strategic Affairs. I also successfully organised five NEWS9 Global Summits 2022/24/25 featuring PM Narendra Modi and Former UK PM David Cameroon among other notable global speakers in India, Germany & UAE. My journalistic journey has taken me to various esteemed organizations, including Network18, where I was the Group Contributing Editor. During the COVID-19 second wave crisis in April 2021, I reported for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) from New Delhi. I have also had the rare privilege to be interviewed as an expert voice by BBC, CNN, Russia Today, CBC, Pakistan TV (PTV), Radio Free Asia, The Strait Times as well as Aljazeera. I've anchored prime-time debates on foreign affairs and national security with prominent voices, and my reportage has taken me to conflict zones, including Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Jammu and Kashmir, Siachen, Eastern Ladakh, and the Red corridor of Maoists in Bastar. Presently among the top experts in India on Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan. I have also been the US State Department’s ACYPL Fellow in 2020 as well as Bucerius Summer School Fellow from Germany in 2023. In 2023 I was awarded the Ram Jethmalani Journalism Prize In Service to Humanity. I’ve won over 20 awards for my reportage. Some of my notable assignments include reporting from the G20 Summit in Australia, BRICS & SCO in China, ASEAN in Malaysia, SAARC in Nepal, and EU in Belgium. I've also interviewed prominent leaders, such as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, UNGA President Abdulla Shahid and India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. A graduate in Political Science from Ramjas College, Delhi University, I completed my post-graduation in journalism from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai in 2012. I was invited for Business Management Programme for the Media Industry by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore in 2014. As a 17 year old I was named among top 25 Youth Icons of the country by India Today magazine in 2007.
