  • As COO, I led the operations, category and digital marketing teams in Bulbul 1.0
  • Our orders grew from 0 - 10,000 per day peak volume in 10 months of launch. It was a crazy ride on all fronts.
  • As all our orders were largely discretionary purchases, the blow because of COVID 19 pandemic was very hard on us. We did multiple rounds of experiments after which we decided to focus on influencer commerce in what we call Bulbul 2.0.
  • In bulbul 2.0, I led a small team to do 2 experiments 1. selling digital content and 2. Launching Influencer powered brands.
  • The mainstay of bulbul 2.0, which was influencer commerce showed a lot of promise and was acquired by the Good Glamm Group.
  • Over our journey we raised $ 17 M from marquee investors namely Sequoia India, Surge, Leo Capital, Infoedge Ventures and CDH.
  • I exited the day to day operations after the acquisition.
