About

I lead Customer Experience suite of products at Ema, where we build AI employees using Agentic AI for enteprise automation. Previously, a short stint at Quizizz and first PM at Yellow AI, helped scale it from 1M to 30M+ ARR. 7 years of overall experience with 5 years of Product Management experience in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Customer experience, employee experience and B2B SaaS for large enterprises. Worked on both core and growth initiatives. I write a newsletter on building enterprise AI products - https://sshubhi.substack.com/ ---- My Story - The first product I shipped was my university’s makerspace (Innovation Garage) at the age of 18. It became the hub for tech innovation in NIT Warangal. - 2 years later, an innovative enterprise AI product that we shipped helped us win a 500k contract against one of the largest, most powerful competitor in the space. - Soon after, we did 350k+ ARR of self-serve revenue from a product that seemed too complex to be self-serve. This is the kind of work that drives me - taking on impactful challenges with talented people. My strengths are bringing focus, persistence and critical thinking to the endeavour. As PM#1 at Yellow.ai (conversational AI), I experienced fast-paced growth from 1M to 30M+ ARR over a short period of 4 years. Reporting directly to the cofounders, I got a chance to launch new verticals (HR, IT Support), new products (enterprise AI search & email automation) and new GTM motions (PLG, US GTM). I drove a lot of our initial pre-sales & product marketing in India & the US, giving me insights into the user behaviour, enterprise sales motion, positioning, & analyst relations in these markets (I was based out of our SF office in 2023). I was identified as a "Top 50 women in product" by Inc42 for my work at Yellow.ai. Additionally, I learnt the art of hiring, team building and coaching and helped build our product, design, & documentation teams from 5 to 50+ folks over 4 years. I am reachable at sshubhi.hello@gmail.com

Quizizz

Principal Product Manager

  • Pre-PMF 0-1. Helping Quizizz (k-12 leader) launch a spin-off for the corporate segment. Quizizz serves 50M+ monthly active users at present, across 120 countries. My role was to optimise the product funnels, deeply understand the corporate L&D landscape and identify a positioning that resonates with corporate buyers.
  • We learnt that this was more of a GTM & positioning problem, instead of product development. I was also keen on getting back to Gen AI & enterprise automation, hence moved on sooner than I'd initially planned.

  • Prior to this, Yellow.ai had only a sales-led motion which stunted our growth in the SMB market. The existing journey of buying conversational AI tools was time-consuming & boring. Through a self-serve & community-first approach, we made Yellow.ai the easiest (and most fun) product to find, use and scale in our space. We did this by focusing on inbound marketing, low-code capabilities, marketplace apps and revops improvements to unlock the buyer's journey. Some highlights :
  • Scaled PLG motion to 60+ paid self-serve customers and 500+ monthly signups from 30+ countries within a year.
  • Built a team of 15 from scratch including folks from product, growth, engineering, documentation, community, academy and inside sales.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional leadership to launch the pricing page and billing experience, and drive marketing and sales OKRs related to PLG.
  • Along with this, I was also a product advisor to the North America enterprise sales & marketing teams, & helped them get to their first 1M USD in ARR.

Senior Product Manager (AI powered helpdesk)

Jan 2021Jan 2022 · 1 yr

  • This was just after series B. My charter was to scale up inbox (Yellow.ai's omnichannel help desk platform) as the company established itself as the default choice in India & APAC markets. With the growing customer base, competition, team & product complexity, came new challenges. Some highlights :
  • Grew inbox from 10 to 60+ enterprise customers.
  • Built differentiating industry-first features like agent assist and 2-way multilingual translation to redefine how agents can use AI (way before it became cool with LLMs!)
  • Set up the first version of product strategy, & roadmap for inbox.
  • Hired & onboarded a team of PMs & designers and helped the team adopt a more predictable product development process.
  • Worked on various aspects of product marketing & analyst relations, helping us secure a position on Gartner Magic Quadrant.
