About

Since April of 2013, Sanjay is working with Automotive Research Association of India, Pune (ARAI, http://www.araiindia.com) in ARAI Academy Department. Currently his designation is General Manager. Professionally nothing has changed for him. as he still does what he likes the most. Interacting with the student community, learn from them and try to help them learn. (Teaching-Learning Process, Student-Centric Learning). He is more involved in defining modules and training programs. Whether these are students from COEP Technological University, Chitkara University, SRM IST, Chennai, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune; JSPM University Pune - all are very very supportive of all the activities done at ARAI. Good thing is he gets to own all credit for it. https://www.araiindia.com/services/knowledge-dissemination [January 2010 to April 2013] At MIT Academy of Engineering: His small research group was working on using novel techniques for energy saving, face recognition, intent understanding, and interest identification. Between March 2011 and April 2013, Sanjay steered the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, at Maharashtra Academy of Engineering, Alandi. [http://www.mitaoe.ac.in] Since returning back from US November 2009, took a few months off. And then in January 2010, joined Maharashtra Academy of Engineering as Professor, E & T/c department. Prior to this, Sanjay was a lecturer at a engineering college in India (University of Pune) for almost eight years before he decided to work towards his PhD. He did his bachelors [B.E. (E & T/c)] in 1992 from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune and Masters (Microwave Engineering) from Government College of Engineering. Pune (COEP) [http://www.coep.org.in] in August 1998. During his masters, worked with Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Pune on "Shielding Effectiveness of Double-Walled Shielding Rooms" project. He aspires to work in industry closely related to signal processing - in the area of speech signal processing (speech systems in stress environments) in a team- and goal-driven work culture. With the PhD from University of Texas at Dallas working with the finest in the field (https://profiles.utdallas.edu/john.hansen), collecting data for driver behaviour modelling, cognitive stress detection and similar activities, Worked on projects such as UTDrive. Specialties: Software coding, speech signal processing, stress detection, speaker verification, non-acoustic / contact sensors, Artificial Intelligence, Automotive Intelligence, Machine Learning
