• Leading the monetization team at Dailyhunt, some of my prominent initiatives were to:
• Conceptualize and create from scratch, "Daedalus", India's only in-house full-stack ad serving platform, in addition to Google and Facebook
• Scale and sustain this platform to handle over 600 million daily requests serving 200 million impressions to 15 million DAUs at an average request latency of 30ms
• Create a fully in-house lead generation platform for advertisers with a >10% completion rate
• Create a fully functional real-time bidding platform to maximize revenue and fill rates incorporating demand from direct sales as well as fallback ad networks.
• Design and implement India's largest poll to get over 5.5 million responses on the nation's mood on the eve of Lok Sabha elections '19.

• We were collectively motivated by the challenge to revolutionize advertising in today's platform-focused, hyper-connected and mobile-first world. We're a team of IIT, ISB, IIM and Wharton graduates trying to change the way information flows from a service provider to the final consumer. BuyT was on a mission to help people make the most informed decisions while availing digital services and transactions. On one hand, we collate and curate data from service providers (for example, e-commerce stores). On the other, we crawl and analyze content from major publishers to understand and interpret context and user behavior. Merging these two enables us to recommend the best deals, goods and services right where the content is and when a user is looking for information about them. We are all about performance and ROI-driven marketing. The BuyT ContentLink platform has been rolled out with marquee Indian publishers like TOI, NDTV, IndianExpress, India TV and Jagran, serving over 100 million monthly recommendations.
• We had a successful exit when Dailyhunt acquired BuyT (http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2015-07-15/news/64449941_1_platform-newshunt-ecommerce) to move from a news aggregator app to become the Internet gateway and one-stop-shop for 400 million+ local language users. BuyT is enabling Dailyhunt to put together a high-caliber tech and products team to build a platform and destination for multi-format content consumption.

• The internal hedge fund that we managed as a team of 6, had a portfolio of almost $100m and showed returns consistently higher than 30% during my stint of 2 years.

• In the Equity Quant Analytics team at Nomura, I worked on the development and deployment of Quark - a novel, Python and Java-based WAN distributed framework used to crunch large amounts of market data for pre- and post-trade analytics, which forms the core of Nomura's flagship analytics offering, TradeSpex™. I handled data services libraries which disambiguated, processed and updated raw trading data from news streams, data vendor feeds and the web.
• During the second half of my stint at Nomura, I worked as part of the Systematic Trading team in New York to build scalable data scraping and processing utilities using Quark to collate real-time data from various news sources and feeds, which form the backbone of very successful intra-day trading strategies currently.
