Worked on anomaly and attack detection on IoT devices--using emulated network traffic data.
Did analysis of the IoT devices' network traffic data for device characterization and used DBSCAN with the Silhouette coefficient based outlier detection method.
For testing, generated syn-flood traffic test data with different payloads, random source IPs and interflow time.
On the side, did feature engineering of DNS queries and wrote numerous scraping scripts for feature data collection for another project.
