• Led the integration of an in-house PgBouncer-like service with the YB Managed control plane which aims at increasing the number of available connections to the database without the requirement for any vertical/horizontal scaling
• Identified the unknowns and the control plane requirements as the liaison between the control plane and the ecosystem teams; worked with the team building the new service for prioritising our requirements as well as facilitated the process of validating them, during the exploratory phase (PoC) of the project.
• Led a 7 person team across functions like Backend, UI, SRE and QA.
• Built the backend service for the integration of the new feature as well as overseeing the work on UI, SRE and QA.

• Worked on the team that built the asynchronous task submission and execution framework before the GA release of YugabyteDB Managed(Yugabyte Cloud at that time).
• Helped build YugabyteDB Release management and upgrade systems in YB Managed. This was further extended to building an overall Maintenance Event Scheduling and Management System, which included automation of Maintenance Events like Database Upgrades, Operating System Upgrades, Configuration Updates, Encryption Certificate Renewals (Certificate Rotations), Node Updates, etc.
• Mentored multiple interns while working on the said projects, most of whom converted to full-time employees.
• Led the effort for automating Encryption Certificate Rotation on production database clusters as a solo engineer on a strict deadline, non-adherence to which could have led to rendering customer deployed clusters unusable and a loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue. In addition to that, I led the effort of manually rotating the certificates for some of our critical customers ahead of schedule to bypass the immediate need to fallback on the fairly newly implemented automation system.
• Led the team in our company's internal hackathon while building new support tools for streamlining support operations on production databases by leveraging Machine Learning, Core Files, and internal resources to improve upon existing internal tools and make them more useful for our support team. Won the award for the Best Internal Feature.
• Led the efforts for productising some of the features from our hackathon win while mentoring an intern.
• Helped build the first micro-service within our product which laid the groundwork for such micro-services to be built/split from the monolith in the future.
• Helped build integration with third party metrics exporters like Grafana, Datadog, NewRelic, etc.
• Actively involved in new graduate hiring drives as an interviewer as well as interview problem curator/reviewer for 2 years.
