Mayur Nikam is currently Vice President at National Central Cooling Company (DFM: Tabreed), leading Business Development efforts for the MENA region and beyond. In his current role at Tabreed, Mayur leads the Regional Business Development team to support the CDO in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, financing, closing Greenfield and M&A opportunities, collaborating with various internal teams along the way. Previously, Mayur was the Head of Business Development at Nshmi Development LLC (Nshama) and Member of Investment Committee at a Private Real Estate Investment Fund. At Nshama, Mayur was responsible for carrying out feasibility analyses, leading pricing strategy, and providing decision support to Senior Management. As a Member of Investment Committee, Mayur was tasked with evaluating and recommending investment proposals to the Board of Directors in a Team of 4, with investment focus on mixed-use real estate development opportunities in the Eastern Europe. Mayur has about 12 years of experience in Investments, Real Estate, eCommerce, Telecommunications, and Consulting spanning across Middle East, Eastern Europe, Sub–Saharan Africa, and India. He was previously with Souq.com (now an Amazon company) as Group Planning Manager in Dubai, tasked with revamping their planning process ahead of a planned M&A activity. Prior to moving to the UAE in 2015, he worked with a public listed Telecom firm’s Africa operations, based out of Accra, Ghana, where he joined as a Management Trainee in 2012. In his last year, he was elevated to acting Head of Business Planning & Analysis and led the team to improve Planning Efficiency score from 65% to 89% and ranked 2nd amongst 17 African operating countries. Mayur also worked briefly with Deloitte as a Consultant in their India offices, prior to pursuing his masters in 2010. Mayur is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and has completed his MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
