• Our mission at Flipkart is to transform commerce of India through technology. We are on constant lookout to push the envelop on supply chain technology through innovation with customer experience as a key corner stone. Here are some of the things I have been involved with following things while at Flipkart.
• Built E2E supply chain technology stack at scale for EKart, one of the biggest supply chain / logistics service providers in India.
• Built several revenue streams including EKart Courier (C2C offering) and externalizing EKart's capabilities.
• Lead supply chain technology (EKart) group focusing on end customer facing services and core platforms that augment customer experience.
• Focused on building new innovative services to build clear competitive advantage, revenue streams and process optimization for EKart.
• While focused on customer facing innovation areas, have worked on several key areas in supply chain including Forward Delivery Services, Reverse Services, Hub Operations, Last Mile delivery experience, Value Added Services like Next Day Delivery / Same Day Delivery, Alternate Delivery Models, Transport Management Systems, Cash Management Service etc.
• Managed a team of 80+ engineers spread across key platforms and revenue streams.
• Strong business and product focus, along with technology, and managed several external / 3rd party interactions & partnership from tech / non-tech perspective.
• Drove process excellence including SDLC in agile mode, development best practices and automation.
• Hired top talent and built the org with the right tech culture. Augmented the team from 7 engineers to 80+ engineers. Also lead to migration towards better and more scalable hiring practices @ Flipkart.
• Made several key buy Vs build decisions during the journey of building scalable supply chain stack.
• Carved out bandwidth from business as usual to run few moonshot projects and few of them like geo intelligence are now paying dividends.
