• Generally we find companies manufacturing cameras with proprietary algorithm to encrypt and decrypt and so the customer is forced to buy both the camera(source/encryption), as well as the vcr box(destination/decryption). But using an open-source algorithm we break this convention of being tied up to a particular company, as long as the inputs(key, salt, etc) for the algorithm is consistent both at the source and the destination.
