"Working smart is as essential as working hard." Born to an engineer father and a doctor mother, hard work was ingrained in me from a young age. Yet, it was the lesson of working smart that truly shaped my professional path. Influenced by Rich Dad Poor Dad during my college days at IIT Delhi, I developed a keen desire to leverage my skills to create something impactful. After an initial pursuit of a Ph.D. at the University of Michigan, I realized academia wasn't my calling and returned to India in 2004. I immersed myself in the tech startup scene, contributing to enterprises that scaled into Fortune 500 companies. By 2012, recognizing the transformative potential of cloud software, I founded P3 Infotech, specializing in customized software application development. Although challenging, this venture provided invaluable lessons, underscoring the importance of focusing on software products over services. Observing my father and other small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) struggle with daily operations, I was compelled to help. And thus was born Orgzit, short for "Organize it!" As I built Orgzit, I realized the need to focus on a specific business area to ensure that we could capture the attention of the business owners we aimed to assist. I realized that the area where we were able to create the maximum value for our customers was sales management – managing the sales pipeline, quotes, orders, and service. We decided to narrow our focus to CRM software. SMBs need simple, customizable, and cost-effective software for tracking their sales activities. But none of the existing CRM software in the market could successfully meet these needs. There were broadly two types of CRM software. One type was simple and cost-effective but not customizable. The other was customizable, but also complex and expensive, which made it infeasible for SMBs. The result was that SMBs continued to use scattered spreadsheets for tracking their sales process, resulting in hassle and poor productivity. To address the needs of SMBs, I developed Orgzit as a simple, customizable, and cost-effective CRM software for tracking the complete sales and service processes. Through our CRM software, we help clients streamline their sales and service workflows so that their teams are more productive. The teams can focus their time and attention on serving their customers. Business owners get peace of mind knowing that their sales and service operations are taken care of, so they can focus their attention on creating more value for customers and growing their business faster.
