•  Design and implementation of algorithm for multi-touch support, where sequential touch-events are grouped together depending on their temporal locality to populate the three touch-structures (touches, target touches and changed touches) correctly.

• Scope: I have worked in several modules in these projects, e.g., Browser, Call, Voice Recorder, Bluetooth, Phoneshell, FM Radio, KJAVA etc. Along with fixing commercialization issues, we were responsible for stabilization and optimization alongside. Here it is to mention that “BADA” was the first open service platform by Samsung, which in fact is an abstraction layer, written in C++, on top of SHP, and thus abstracting the SHP layer from Application developers.

• FastNote and JalTaarang (BADA Apps)
• Scope: I was part of the team developing the applications “MobileTracker” and “Mobile Prayer” for touch-phones which have been ported to various models. MobileTracker was one of the key-applications which Samsung recently developed. In case a mobile is stolen and its SIM is replaced, a help message containing the current phone number will be automatically generated and sent to a previously registered phone number without the user’s notice. ‘MobilePrayer’ is an alarm-like application with the provision of selecting different religious songs and wallpapers.
• As part of BADA apps, I developed two applications - JalTaarang and FastNote. JalTaarang as the name suggests is an app to play the musical instrument ‘JalTaarang’ on screen. FastNote is a screen capturing application. Whatever you write on the screen using the stylus, it will be captured and saved in an image file. This is particularly useful to note down something quickly on the screen without using the keypad or virtual editor of the phone which is much time-consuming Recently, JalTaarang has been uploaded to Samsung BADA App Store.

• Scope: Preparing ICD for JSR 293 and implementing the interface. JSR 293 is Location Based Service 2.0, which includes Map and Navigation services. . The whole development requires building of four layers. The topmost layer is written in JAVA and the remaining porting layers are written in C. This includes the implementation of KNI layer too.
