Sumit Kumar — Software Engineer

I am currently working as Principal Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (DBaaS team). I have previously worked as Staff Software Engineer / Tech Lead at Appsmith to build the next generation of low code application development platform. As the 7th employee to join Appsmith, I had the unique opportunity to experience its remarkable growth from 10 to 100+ employees (seed to series B) while serving various roles across multiple teams during my tenure. I have architected and built several features that form the core of the Appsmith platform today. I have contributed to scalability, reliability, performance and security of the platform and mentored other engineers on the team. I have also previously worked with Juniper Networks platform team to build event driven distributed systems to manage system startup / shutdown routines, programmables, fault events / fault tolerance and system diagnosis.
