About

In the changing world of healthcare in the United States, primary care is playing an increasingly important role. I believe that the primary care physicians should train themselves in population health and management skills in addition to their clinical skills to better navigate this ever-changing environment. I am really passionate about delivering high quality healthcare with better efficiency. I believe that better transition of care between different healthcare settings, and reduction of hospital readmissions are the first steps towards better health care. As a primary care physician, I work hard to try and keep the patients out of the hospital. Big believer in preventive care, especially in the geriatric population. Spend a lot of time in transitioning patients who have just been discharged from the hospital so that they stay healthy at home and do not get back into the hospital. As a physician leader, I collaborate with colleagues to implement evidence-based medicine across different disease processes. I work on standardization of processes, and reducing waste.
