About

For nearly two decades, I worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant, primarily serving underserved communities across the U.S. and Central America. In 2015, I founded ChartSpan, a Chronic Care Management company that revolutionized patient care through non-face-to-face patient encounters. We developed an EMR-integrated SaaS platform that enhanced chronic care coordination, improved patient outcomes, and optimized provider workflows. One of our flagship solutions, an Annual Wellness Visit platform, seamlessly transitioned routine patient visits into AWV encounters, driving completion rates above 98% across all markets and reducing Medicare costs by $76 PMPM—demonstrating the power of proactive, technology-driven care. After exiting those ventures, I shifted my focus to nonprofit healthcare interoperability, partnering with global organizations to expand patients’ access to their health data. During this time, I collaborated with various countries to implement verifiable COVID credentials for safe cross-border travel and played a key role in advancing FHIR interoperability standards across sub-Saharan Africa. I recently joined agilon health to develop EMR interoperability solutions, empowering providers to better manage burden of illness, quality, and care planning—ultimately enhancing patient care and quality of life.
