Greetings, Hiring managers/Senior designers/HR/LinkedIn connections. Marilyn here, a UI/UX designer, and in duty for the past 4 years with a total experience of almost 5 years (in design (including internship)) Why I mentioned 'UI/UX Designer' at TCS Interactive?' is because most of the projects I have worked within the organization has been revolving around digital products (web and mobile). Introduction: I started as an Industrial Designer, but now gaining experience in the field of UI/UX. I have witnessed and participated in both roles in my current organisation. I have been both a team player as well as an individual contributor within the projects. And have been encouraged to collaborate cross functionally as well. Achievements: In the recent past, I have been appreciated and awarded as the 'Best designer' at work. Also, I have been appreciated by the project team for my dedication and contribution to the project in terms of design. However, I am still a beginner/intermediate and will continue my journey as a student (continual learning, practicing always, perfection is just an illusion). Interests: Illustrations (which are minimal, and quirky) using watercolor, acrylics, gouache, and ink as mediums. I am also learning the guitar, taking up professional grade exams RSL. Further studies: I am into exploring/specialising in Marketing management as design needs are not focused on just the aesthetic aspects but understanding the business requirements and functioning of a product in a VUCA world as well. Therefore, thinking of a way to integrate both in my practice. Project: INGRAM Micro, Web Interface
As part of the design team responsible for assisting the Lead designer in designing the screens, specifically the product listing screen and product details screen.
With each screens there comes a responsibility of keeping the components consistent and this consistency needs to be followed on an end- to- end journey, therefore a close collaboration/communication with the design system team was maintained on regular basis to communicate the discrepancies with a component or addition of a new component.
Prototyping: Every flow needed to be prototyped to understand the functionality of the screens and the users interaction with them. Therefore, working on Figma to prototype helped me understand the intricacies of prototyping.
Quality check: Every screen as mentioned earlier need to be consistent when navigating from one screen to another, while prototyping there always arises errors in terms of a minor disposition or text change etc., therefore, before presenting to the client/end user, quality check was really an essential factor.

Visual Designer

As a team, we worked on the Tanishq Web and App interface.
It was a team effort in discussing and determining the web accessibility of their site because brand and colors are the essential and the first thing that is presented to the user.
We as a team brought about a phygital change in Tanishq, by making accessibility a priority.
Individual contribution
Was assigned one of the flows to redesign the screen, looking into the screens' visual and user experience aspects.
Was part of determining the screen complexities and estimating the time effort.
Created the heuristics along with the necessary suggestions/recommendations for the assigned flow.
Was part of supporting the Dev team from end to end. In case of any feedback, this was a back-and-forth process to keep up with the quality of the design delivered.
As a result of the impeccable team effort and the change we brought to Tanishq's branding and design, and the contribution made by individual designers, I was awarded the 'Best Designer'.

Problem: Wake of Artificial intelligence in every sector, the company needed to communicate this as an integral part in IT, business, medical field etc. How can we communicate this effectively the impact that A.I is creating.
Solving: Looking into different methods of storytelling, graphical, visual etc. Exploration of how visual audio can help in delivering this message to the business.
Trying to make graphically heavy data into something more minimalistic and have an improved user experience although it was a power point. This challenged the mind to think outside Adobe XD and website graphics and apply simple design principles.
To make it more impactful video graphics was adopted in order to convey a more empathetic message to a larger audience.
