I am the founder, CTO, and a board member at Ory Corp. My role at Ory is to design, architect, build, and run the product with the help of an incredible team. In 2010 I co-founded Serlo Education e.V., a German non-profit NGO operating the open education platform www.serlo.org. Serlo serves over a million active users per month and is the biggest e-learning platform in German speaking countries. As a representative of Serlo's dedicated and hard working team, I received the Order of Merit by the German Federal President Frank Walter-Steinmeier in late 2019. I have contributed to open source since 2004 and authored and published numerous open source projects with significant traction. Software I author and maintain has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times and is serving hundreds of millions of humans without borders. I completed my MSc Computer Science with focus on Knowledge Discovery, Computer Security, Networking, and Databases at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in 2018. In 2014 I received the “LMU Research Prize for Excellent Undergraduates” for developing the Learning Management System Athene2 for Serlo.
