  • My current role in Shell is of an IT Product / Portfolio Subject Matter Expert (SME) and I am currently the SME leading a strategic solution implementation for the Counterparty Lifecyle management which includes but not limited to:

  • Exit of the counterparties that includes removal from end systems to stop further trading with the counterparties and retention of Counterparty details as per regulations.
  • I was additionally working as lead Business Analyst in a project to help Compliance have a global GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) tool which was earlier handled via manual processes.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Gather Business requirements per region and formulate a single set of requirements that would apply globally.
  • Market Scan to identify the right tool that satisfies the Shell Compliance GRC requirements which included working with industry leaders like Forrester & Gartner to understand the best tools in market in this space.
  • Formulation of evaluation mechanism to identify and shortlist the right vendor that best fits the requirements.
  • Setting up platform that can be used across Shell within other departments requiring the need to GRC tool.
  • Setting up the design workshops and working with vendor, integrator and Business team members to finalize the tool configurations.
  • Setting up of team for implementation of Phase 1.

  • The client I worked for wanted to build an online Insurance portal. Being a project from scratch there were many challenges as being a tester I had to test not only the functionality but also the User Interface which was being built from scratch.
  • I prepared Test Case Execution Reports, Created Test Cases, flow scenarios and executed them.
  • I worked on tools like SOAP, IBM ClearQuest. During my tenure in the project I also learnt testing of WSDL‟s and XML.
  • I registered more than 500 defects in total which led to a defect free delivery to the client for which I was appreciated and awarded directly by the Client.
