About

I was fortunate to help create the Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) category, now a billion-dollar market protecting more than half of the Fortune 2000. After Microsoft acquired CloudKnox in 2021, I turned that vision into Microsoft Entra Permissions Management, which today governs 50M+ identities and right-sizes tens of billions of cloud permissions eliminating up to 80% of unused privilege and proving least-privilege can be the default. I now own Microsoft’s global identity compute fabric, the platform that authenticates and authorizes hundreds of millions of users, services, and AI workloads. Operating across every Azure region, it processes trillions of secure calls a day at five-nines availability while dynamically balancing GPUs and CPU nodes for traditional traffic and ML/LLM inferences. Over 16 years I’ve led 75+ distributed engineers, steered >$1 B annual P&L, and shipped multiple products from whiteboard to GA. I also enjoy talking to startups on resilience, scalable AI platforms, and secure cloud architectures.
