• R&D operations and new technology ventures lead for Qualcomm division QMT with functional responsibility of 80+ employees (engineers, program managers, fab operations engineers and techs)
• Drove execution of the technology and product roadmap in coordination with engineering and manufacturing leads by establishing project priorities, resource allocation, implementing KPI’s and conducting periodic Ops reviews
• Key architect of the technology platform strategy for the division;member of the QMT strategic planning team
• Led IP portfolio management, including IP acquisitions, as technical lead for the division

• o Establishment of quality program in an R&D fab: process tech training and certification program and half-yearly customer feedback process
• o Increased productivity by 20% and decreased cycle time by 30% while reducing operational budget by 5%
• o Drove implementation of a data mining analytics engine, Spotfire, for real time analysis of fab metrics (yield, cycle time, throughput, equipment uptime etc.)

• Responsible for product development of mirasol display
• Led a cross-functional global project team of 50+ engineers to successfully transfer and establish the first commercially viable MEMS manufacturing process in a Taiwan TFT LCD fab for new product introduction
• Improved reliability and yield in the manufacturing line; yield doubled from time of process introduction
• Drove development of drive schemes and drive systems for addressing mirasol displays
• Established QMT’s first phase gate process (LCM) for new process and product introduction (NPI)
• Built and managed a functional team of ~50 engineers (design, system, reliability, device physics, device integration & thin film optics) post acquisition

• As an early employee (#4), played a key role in transforming the technology from an academic lab to put it on a commercialization path with innovation and engineering in various aspects of display: MEMS design/process/packaging, system, display color science and image processing, drive algorithms, test, display firmware, device physics, and illumination
• Lead role in driving technology transfer to Asian manufacturing partners
• Established reliability test methodology and acceleration mechanisms/models
