• As a technical architect, spearheaded the design and development of Workflows as a capability, focusing on creating Workflows for QuickBooks Online Advanced. Successfully launched various workflow types like Approvals, Reminders, and Notifications for Mid-Market customers, handling over 250 transactions per second and managing more than a million reminders daily. Took the initiative to propose Workflow Automation as a new service, proposing and evaluating Camunda as the workflow engine, and developed it into a generic microservice through event-driven design with Kafka.
• This enabled its adoption across different teams, including TurboTax and other products.
• Led the design and helped teams deliver critical features such as Multi-Condition and Multi-Workflow capabilities and scaled the workflows using Multi-Swimlanes/Tenants and sharding. Led the team in modernizing the approvals process from Monolith to enhance and establish it as a capability.
• Additionally worked on Elastic Search to built in reporting capabilities for workflow metadata information.
• Built in resiliency framework to support 99.999 percent availability during tax seasons.

• Low level design on graphql apis related to CRUD and DSL of workflows. Designed the workflow database schema for AWS Aurora. Developed and deployed services on AWS cloud using dockerisation on Kubernetes pods.
• Modernized workflows from Multi Definitions to single definitions in workflow engine to scale workflows to more 1M definitions. (10-15x scale).
• Worked on Camunda BPMN and DMN to design workflows for Mid market customers and Turba Tax offerings.

• Worked as a backend developer for UK Grocery, where I designed and developed the Recommendation and Orchestration Service to promote advertised products.
• Developed Personalisation and Recommendation as a microservice for UK Groceries, utilizing Spring Boot. I engaged with No-SQL systems like Cassandra to achieve millisecond latency and integrated with Memcached to reduce latency by 10x to 20ms. I constructed a real time Ingestion platform using Spark Streaming and Storm, processing over 25 million events per day with a p99 latency of less than 500 ms.
• Worked in writing Hadoop scripts, including Pig and Hive queries, to ingest, process, and write back customer data to the database for Customer recommendations.
