9 years ago I co founded Zendrive, a company with a mission of “Making Roads safer using data and analytics”. For the first 8+ years, as the tech Co-founder/CTO of Zendrive, I built the Zendrive technology platform and product to understand driving behavior and accurately predict risk. In this role I learnt to build high performing engineering, data science and product teams, built AI and sensor processing systems operating at petabyte scale data. I developed deep empathy for customers and understood the challenges of building an enterprise SaaS business. In the last 6 months, I have stepped into the CEO role and now leading the company to help our insurance customers acquire, engage and retain their auto insurance users. Prior to Zendrive I had stints at Walmart Labs where I lead the social media analytics group building real time analysis capabilities over 200B tweet corpus. I spent 6 years at Google building speech recognition technology (Voice search on mobile) and very early versions of Google cloud platform (Compute engine). I started my career as a researcher at Bell Labs focused on IP and optical networking. I am a graduate of the computer science and automation department at IISc Bangalore. I have filed 50+ USPTO granted patents (https://bit.ly/3AWa2uH) and authored several research papers (https://dblp.org/pid/32/5708.html) early in my career. One of my patents received the Thomas Edison best patent award.
