• I was working in a team of 4 developers and as a Senior Software Engineer it was my main responsibility to mentor the developers in my team on the product architecture and software development principles.
• The main focus of my team was scalability, performance and stable delivery. My role in the team was to analyze the current project and develop automated tools for performance analysis and detecting bottlenecks.
• The greatest accomplishment was driving and delivering major improvements in the company’s main software program, based on the result of my performance profiling analysis.

• Starting from January 2009 I was actively involved in the design of the new BitDefender architecture that had the main purpose the stability and the performance of the product. Working in an Agile environment I was responsible of the estimation and the planning of the project.
• My biggest project was a scalable, robust, centralized system that stores global information about file behavior collected from millions of BitDefender users. This system not only helped augmenting detection rates, but also reduces to a minimum the risk of false positives. As a key contributor to this project, my input was pivotal to its success.

Jan 2007 – Jan 2009 · 2 yrs

• I was responsible of the design, architecture and implementation of an Instant Messaging Encryption System.
• The protocol of the Instant Messenger was not documented and this forced me to reverse engineer the software and then lay an Encryption System on top of it.
• I also worked on the maintenance team of the BitDefender 2009 project.

Mar 2005 – Jan 2007 · 1 yr 10 mos

• Responsible for developing and maintaining the mobile version of BitDefender for Symbian OS and Windows CE.
• I have developed an encryption system for Instant Messengers.
• I am currently responsible for various features, modules and plugins in the BitDefender Desktop version.
