• 5> Development of Data Links File System: The Datalinks project started as a research prototype developed at the IBM Almaden Research Center, and is now part of the DB2 UDB product. It involves the implementation of an extension to DB2 that enables EFRs to be managed by the DBMS almost as though they were residing within the database, while at the same time making it possible for these files to be operated on using standard file system APIs in a transparent manner. • I was part of the team of 7 people and The objective of the project was to develop a core product for transaction processing system (the payment gateway) which can provide the online authorization of transactions using ISO8583 and APACS40 protocols. The system is also capable of collecting the transactions on off-line basis as will, using the APACS50 protocol. The system further generates the transaction reports for the acquirer(s).All these required a thorough study of various Operating Systems, IPC handling, system calls, Networking, Databases etc.
• I was involved into Design, Development and Testing of some of its major modules. Porting on other Unix and Database platforms.
