I am currently involved in the API-Redesign Initiative for Cricinfo. We are building a Cloud-Native Stack on AWS using Kafka/K-Connect as our ETL pipeline .We are using CDC (Change Data Capture) architecture paradigm to stream Change Data Capture Events via K-Connect Layer to Kafka. Kafka is used as our as Event Log and also as our source of truth.
Our entire workload (barring the data services) are running as a collection of ECS Services.
