• Veooz is the most complete personalized news application. Veooz platform auto curates stories based on social and news signals, and brings the trending and developing stories of user’s geo, city, and topics of interest in near real time. Veooz platform continuously discovers and processes millions of social conversations, news articles, blogs etc. every day. The platform is equipped with deep natural language processing algorithms to process the text and select high quality stories. Using 360 feature, user can explore a story in depth and get multiple perspectives of the story in the form of pictures, videos, news articles and live buzz. Currently Veooz platform supports 40 countries with main focus on US, UK and India, 2000 cities and 100k topics. Veooz is also available in nine Indian languages.
• Responsibilities:
• Been involved with the product form the very beginning. Played in pivotal role in designing the architecture, selecting the stack to be used for the platform and built it from scratch
• Lead the entire platform of Veooz, mentoring a small development team of young people
• Played a pivotal role in designing, developing and testing almost all the core features of the product
• Exploring Social Network API’s such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube for real-time crawling
• Designed and Developed fault tolerant crawlers that continuously hunt for latest news articles and blogs on the web
• Algorithms for core features of the product such as Text Categorization, Sentiment Analysis, Topic Detection, Trend Detection, Parsing news articles and associated metadata, Push Notifications, Personalization, Summarization, In-depth analysis (Veooz 360)

• Description: myDrona is a product catered to educational domain. It enables the student to learn at his/her own pace with the help of educational content on the web. The product was offered as a web portal and a personalized device. myDrona platform automatically mines educational content from the web and organizes the content as per the student’s syllabus. In additional to multimedia content, linking key concepts in chapters to their respective wiki pages and a question bank to assess the performance of the student are provided.
