About

I am Systems Engineering at KLA, currently working on new tech development and error budgeting of our chemical analytics products in the ECI division. I am also a recent graduate from Johns Hopkins University, where I primarily focused on unlocking the full potential of information that can be captured from biological samples through advanced biophotonics and harnessing the insight that can be gained from that information with machine learning.

  • Research at the Photonics for Quantitative Biology and Medicine Laboratory with microfabrication experience at the Whitaker Microfabrication Lab.
  • Developed a low-cost, clean-room fabrication free surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate fabrication kit ($39.54) for pathogen detection (1.33¢ each) in resource-limited regions.
  • Raman spectroscopy in bioprocess monitoring (funded by AMBIC) by building on nanosphere lithography based SERS active nanopyramids mounted on optical probes.
  • Detection of radiation resistance in cancer using Quantitative Phase Imaging (QPI) based non-invasive clinical diagnostics and biomarker discovery. This work was presented at Photonics West and was funded through the Oracle Fellows program

  • Research at the Microfluidic Devices & Heterogeneous Systems Lab at Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) and microfabrication experience at the National Nanofabrication Centre (NNFC)
  • Developed a tunable constriction for cell squeezing and rotation on a microfluidic chip. The mold was fabricated using an SU-8 mask fabrication protocol & enabled 3-D imaging of PBMCs via morphology reconstruction. This work was presented at the Transducers, Eurosensors 2019.
  • Developed a membraneless electrolyzer fuel cell with a 3D-printed flow-by configuration with gold electrodes at the base of channel fabricated by gold sputtering, lithography and etching to characterize potential distribution across its width, in collaboration with Shell Technology Centre Bangalore (STCB).
