• Managed a Market Control Remediation Project to close all the control risks raised on Derivative Settlements business, saving the bank from a potential regulatory fine.
• Led a project to deliver an application for the Brokerage Operations team, automating the processes followed, putting in the required controls and helping them manage clearing, reconciliation and settlements seamlessly. The project saved the team GBP 400,000 in resource cost annually.
• On-boarded the Citizen’s Bank Ops team on the RBS platform to facilitate application rationalization and enabled American Clearing House based settlements. The successful completion of the project provided a one-stop operations tool to the uses and enabled technical support resources to be streamlined.
• Improved the reconciliation process, increasing the efficiency by 300% and removing 95% of the noisy breaks, thereby providing more relevant data to the users for reconciliation.
• Led multiple KSOR releases within the Settlement/Confirmation space such as SWIFT upgrade, LCH On-boarding, MarkitWire integration etc., keeping the various applications updated with respect to the third-party vendor applications.
• Instrumental in bringing in various process improvements within the team such as adopting agile methodology, continuous integration, test driven testing and automated system testing, thereby improving the quality of deliveries and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Completely revamped a very critical application service catering to Exotic Options, which involved understanding the complexity of the exotic option trade. The change resulted in the rectification of crucial valuation data.
• Conducted Cost-Scope-Time estimation of various BAU and investment projects, conceptualized and created the work breakdown structure, and defined the phases of the project to ensure successful delivery.
