• As a Development and operations Engineer, I work both in Development and infrastructure management activities. As a developer I do design, planning, execution and performance tuning. Analytics is the core of all my projects. I do big data analytics with various cutting edge technologies like Hadoop, Map Reduce, Hive, Hbase and Pentaho (Business Intelligence and Data Integration) tool. With my technical competency and analytical skills I help my client to stand significant among their competitors.
• As a part of operations, I create and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS. We have more than 400+ instances running for our client ask.com and nrelate.com. I automate scripts for activities such as launching a new machine, setting up the environment, cleaning up the logs and for all System administration activities.
• Creating and administrating Large Hadoop, Hbase and Hive clusters, Backing up of data in S3 (Simple Storage Service) and Glacier in cloud. I use monitors like Icinga (Built on top of Nagios), Zenoss to monitor the health of the servers. Have used specific monitors such as Ganglia for performance monitoring of Hadoop cluster and fine tuning the cluster's performance. Most of our cloud machines run Cent OS and few run Ubuntu.
• I develop hybrid cloud model by integrating machines available in existing data centers in our E-secure with newly created instances from Amazon cloud. I give cost estimations for our cloud infrastructure and give best optimal solution with the given fixed Budget.
