• Managed Disk (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/managed-disks-overview): Azure managed disks are storage volumes at the block level that are managed by Azure and used with Azure Virtual Machines. These disks function similarly to physical disks found in on-premises servers but operate in a virtualized environment.
• I lead the team responsible for working on a range of features associated with managed disks. These include co-location, restore points, confidential computing, as well as other essential components such as throttling, configuration etc.
• ElasticSanRP (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/products/storage/elastic-san): CloudSAN is a new business to enable existing on-prem performance intensive workloads to run best on Azure with better cost efficiency and enhanced management experience. I took charge of the team, starting from the ground up and introducing management APIs for the administration of ElasticSAN, volume groups, and volume objects.
• The service announced public preview in Oct’22.

• I contributed to the development of SRP (Storage Service Provider), the front-end component responsible for managing Azure Storage operations such as account creation, deletion, and updates.Additionally, I worked on designing and implementing a distributed regional control plane for AzureStorage, replacing the previous global service.
• This endeavor involved various features, including multiple REST API implementations, transaction management, encryption at rest, load balancing etc. With Azure Storage comprising over a million storage accounts, I had the opportunity to work on a large-scale distributed system, focusing on maintaining reliability, consistency, and extensibility.
