• Part of the team that implemented the entire Catalog Ingestion product create/edit pipeline for Flipkart(https://www.flipkart.com) and 2gud(https://www.2gud.com) marketplaces. It belongs to the catalog ingestion layer of the catalog team(catalog ingestion, catalog persistence, and catalog serve). The catalog ingestion layer consists of ~ 15 systems that handle image downloads, Data and image validation, Image super-resolution, Deduplication, Localisation, Manual and System QC, Product persistence, etc. The catalog ingestion pipeline orchestrates the entire process spanning across these services. It consists of multiple pipelines such as Create product, Edit product, Add variants, upsert, vernacular, progressive QC, Bad domain identification, etc.
• Singlehandedly designed and implemented the complete Vernacular Catalog Ingestion pipeline that powers different languages on Flipkart. This pipeline orchestrates the entire process of translation/transliteration of an English product to regional languages. New languages can be configured without any downtime. Currently, the Hindi language is enabled and 50 million products have been translated/transliterated.
• Designed and implemented the Flipkart Photo Studio orchestrator. This multi-tenancy enabled tool powers the catalog creation(both Images and product data) for the retail inventory owned by Flipkart private labels and retail alpha sellers. It has been externalized and can be accessed at https://frodo.flipkart.net. A user can log in using a valid Gmail id since we have integrated with Gmail OAuth. Multiple third party catalog creation vendors such as Infognana Solutions, MattsenKumar, Karvy have been on-boarded. There are multiple user roles such as admin, stock keeper, catalog writer, photographer, editor, QC. All the tasks such as model photoshoot, image editing, image uploads, QC, etc are performed using this tool.

• Tasks/Responsibilities
• Captured product requirements, Designed the technical solution, Defined API contracts and implemented the Data Quality Framework, a scalable rule-based engine that uses rules to match, validate, correct and deduplicate information across global data. Developed APIs for nine specific quality checks based on Range, Data Length, Column Reference/Specific Value, List of Value/Code, Null Value, Blank Value, Referential Integrity, Duplicity, and Custom Check/Business.
• Due to a requirement from Citibank to use HDFS as a data store, Redesigned the Data Quality Framework to plug and use any SQL/NoSQL database as the data store.
• Captured product requirements, Designed the technical solution, Defined API contracts and implemented the Meta Browsing Framework, A framework to view the versioned metadata related to various entities that exist in the system such as data models, Task status, etc. Provided support in the form of bug fixes.
• Designed and implemented the Object migration Framework, A framework that facilitates users to migrate all the registered objects along with their dependencies across Information Domains, within the same or different database server.
• Developed a module to centrally manage all the servers in the system.

• Project: eBiz, one of the integrated services projects and part of the 27 Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) under the National E-Governance Plan (NEGP) of the Government of India. eBiz is being implemented by Infosys Technologies Limited (Infosys) under the guidance and aegis of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The focus of eBiz is to improve the business environment in the country by enabling fast and efficient access to Government-to-Business (G2B) services through an online portal. • Captured product requirements and implemented the complete user registration module that allows the user to register and login to the portal.
• Provided support in the form of bug fixes, Enhancements and Knowledge transfer sessions to other teammates.
• Set up apache tomcat and oracle WebLogic server and deployed the application in the Production environment.
• Designed and Built the build and deployment scripts for various modules that constituted Ebiz.
