I deployed an implementable heuristic (Whittle's index policy) for multi-armed restless bandit problem which is known to be P-SPACE hard (intractable). As a particular case, I considered the problem of load-balancing with heterogeneous schedulers and computationally noticed that the optimal policy (by solving Bellman's optimality equation via value iteration algorithm) performs close to the Whittle's index policy.

I developed a general mathematical framework (using game theoretic approaches) for designing appropriate incentive schemes for patients arriving in big hospitals to divert them to small clinics. This project involved data collection from patients, use the same to estimate model parameters, implement best response dynamics to compute Nash equilibrium and provide managerial insights.
