  • I deployed an implementable heuristic (Whittle's index policy) for multi-armed restless bandit problem which is known to be P-SPACE hard (intractable). As a particular case, I considered the problem of load-balancing with heterogeneous schedulers and computationally noticed that the optimal policy (by solving Bellman's optimality equation via value iteration algorithm) performs close to the Whittle's index policy.
