• In February 2022 I quit my job. I left a role in which I was doing pretty good, I felt appreciated and I loved my colleagues. But still, after never ending lockdowns and sudden loss of my dad, I felt empty and I had zero motivation. I’ve realised I didn´t enjoy the content of my work anymore and did not see my purpose. I was just so tired and even though I loved the company where I was working I just wanted to do nothing for a while. I traveled as much as possible, started to work out regularly, did some volunteer work due to war in Ukraine and spent as much time as possible with my family and friends. I re-organised my priorities and was thinking a lot about what I want to do in my career next and finally decided to pursue my career in recruiting. I had a chance to search for new people, lead interviews, organise and participate on job fairs and co-created one large recruiting campaign even during my work in Finance and this is something I enjoyed the most and therefore started to look for roles in this field.

• In this role I have gained experience in audit advisory, internal control framework design and its implementation and stakeholder management. I had co-lead a control work stream of a global project focusing on changing the internal control framework as per the new processes and systems implemented while transitioning to a new accounting standards(USGAAP to IFRS). I managed the relations with my stakeholders and presented quarterly results of the governance work to the senior management. As a deputy I actively searched for new candidates to our team, co-led the interviews and paricipated on selection process.

• I am a part of a Graduate&Leadership programme at Swiss Re. I am rotating through three core reinsurance departments to get a knowledge and skills in every one of them. My first rotation started at Finance where I was a member of Global investment reporting team. I performed successfully year-end closing and was responsible for reporting the investment data of selected legal entities. I prepared presentation of the financial results to the respective CFOs. In March 2020 I started working at Technical Accounting where I was responsible for handling portfolio of German/Turkish/Israeli clients. On daily basis I was performing various checks to validate the clients data and in case of any inconsistencies I had to communicate with our clients to identify and solve the issues. My last rotation was at Business services where I was responsible for the administration of new or renewed treaties between Swiss Re and our clients from austrian market. I was closely cooperating with the underwriters who were signing reinsurance treaties with the clients. During the whole programme I was able to strengthen my leadership skills through
• participating on job interviews
• creating a recruiting campaign for the new generation of Graduates and preparing onboarding of the newcomers
• leading team huddles/meetings and preparing the agenda
• working on the internal branding initiative to increase the employee´s bonding with the company
• preparing the business cases (promotion of an employee, transition of work from one team to another)
• participating on various leadership workshops/trainings - communication/presentation skills, budget creation and approval, team set up, feedback culture, handling of a conflict situation in team
• communicating and meeting with senior management
• participating and preparing agenda for company events such as Night of chances/Finance days
