• Post acquisition of Freecharge in March 2015,I was given charter to build and launch unified identity and payments solution for Snapdeal & Freecharge within 5 months, reporting to Snapdeal CEO. This unification was critical to ensure we can create a larger ecosystem affect for both the group companies, helping them grow faster by attracting each others' consumers.
• Key responsibilities and achievements:
• Led the end to end architecture and product & execution strategy to launch the same in record 5 months from assignment to public beta launch. Led coordination and program across 500+ people ( across many functions) across both the companies.
• Led product till product till product head was hired. led product definition, user experience definition, and hiring for product.
• led product definition and architecture for building a simplified and seamless upgrade experience for all users coming to Snapdeal and Freecharge to become a unified freecharge and wallet user, with minimal customer friction. Led building a unified identity and sessions platform, centralising user profile and security.
• Converged group companies to unified card store and payments.
• Closed on banking partner relationship for speedy launch of home grown wallet platform, worked closely with legal, compliance and finance to identify and close on the right bank as wallet Launch partner.
• Built incrementally scalable, fully doubly entry compliant, certified wallet platform from scratch in 5 months.
• Led business strategy till business head was hired, ranging from brand name, marketing, business strategy, evaluating acquisitions etc. Worked closely with finance, legal and compliance for the initiative, partnering with them to ensure a strong contract with banking and other partners, defining contracts and cross charge arrangements between group companies as three different legal entities of Snapdeal were involved in the initiative.
