• 1. Developed AWS Lambda function to filter the data as per customer requirements and transfer it to their respective pipelines.
• 2. Conducted performance analysis to identify the scope of enhancements in the processing time of Athena queries on larger data sets for better customer experience.
• 3. Converted Kinesis data to Optimized Row Columnar (ORC) and batched it for optimized transmission to AWS S3 using AWS Firehose Lambda Function, which helped in improving the performance of Athena queries.
• 4. Developed a service package, which allowed real-time data ingestion from Kafka to Druid system.
• 5. This package was then deployed in the house so that engineering teams, could use this service in a production applications.

• Responsible for evaluating the performance of Splunk User Behavior Analytics (UBA) product, where I created a Java-based tool to calculate the message lag between each partition of Apache Kafka and Apache Storm. On an average at any moment of time, there was a message lag of approximately 10,000 messages. This tool was in turn used by other team members to evaluate the overall performance of the product and it was also delivered as part of UBA product to Splunk clients.
• Responsible for evaluating the pros and cons of using Open Time Series Database (OpenTSDB) and Influx Database. Modified existing code to give developers a flexibility to submit data either in OpenTSDB or InfluxDB.
