• Vishwas played a significant role in establishing the software teams of Freescale Semiconductor ($6 billion MNC) in Bangalore. He created and managed teams that built software for next-generation mobile phones and platforms. (Titbit: Even today, he is known for his innovative contribution that resulted in the first voice call that was ever made on a Freescale mobile platform in Bangalore!)
• His efforts led to recognition of Freescale Bangalore Center as Center of Excellence for Mobile Infrastructure domain across Freescale globally. His stint in Toulouse center, France, ensured a successful HSDPA technology demo in 3GSM Conference, Barcelona in 2006. His efforts in Toulouse helped bridge the gap between the France and Bangalore center (which was then in nascent stage).
• At Freescale, Vishwas won many awards and accolades and wore many hats. He was the founding member of the Patent Committe at the Bangalore center, which helped increase patent disclosures and research papers. He published and presented a research paper on “using reconfigurable hardware in mobile phones” at GSPx Conference 2006, Santa Clara, USA and was recognized on a global platform as the Track Leader for wireless segment for his research paper. He also played a critical role in the Motorola-Freescale Technical Collaboration between Freescale India and Motorola France.
