• As part of my Dual Degree Project, I worked on a bunch of exciting topics in the domain of unsupervised learning, namely, human action classification in videos, random video generation and image-to-image translations. I also got an opportunity to experiment with architectures, build and train neural networks and stay up-to-date with the latest literature.

• My work at Siemens primarily involved designing various modules of an edge analytics framework. A brief overview of the modules is presented below:
• ∗ Acquisition of data from a PLC using protocols specific to the PLC.
• ∗ Storage of data in a local database on the edge device.
• ∗ Periodic secure data transfer to the cloud in batches using a trusted broker, which ensured data security and integrity.
• ∗ Performed basic analytics on the edge device to detect anomalies in the values collected from the PLC and raise alerts for quick action.
• ∗ Ran a daemon in the cloud to store data in a database, and additionally forward to a front-end UI for real-time visualization and inspection purposes.
• Other than writing code for this framework, my work there also involved exploring open source solutions. I went through the codebase of Linux Foundation Project EdgeXFoundry and contributed to it.

• I worked in the Noctua division of Detect. My work here mostly involved writing code for flight automation. A brief note is as follows:
• ◦ Wrote robust code for flight automation of drones used for reliable inspection of assets.
• ◦ Deployed automatic emergency safety controls, in case the drone malfunctions.
• ◦ Implemented custom trajectories for the drone’s flight using the drone APIs.
