Currently working on building Generative AI powered products at AWS. Previously, I was at Eightfold AI which is a unicorn startup in the People Tech space. Earlier, I was a graduate research assistant at UMass Amherst, where I earned my master's degree in data science. During this period, I interned at Adobe Research, Amazon Science (Alexa), and IBM Almaden Research, where I worked on various projects related to machine learning and natural language understanding. I filed a patent with Adobe Research and a granted patent with IBM Research. I am passionate about solving challenging and impactful problems using data and AI, and I enjoy learning new skills and technologies. Led the Skills Cloud project. Enabled it for 20+ languages with support for taxonomies.
Made an in house entity extraction algorithm from text like resumes and job descriptions, using a Trie, removing the dependency on third party parsers for all languages.
Launched course recommendations for all customers. Project was recognized at the learning technologies conference (a globally renowned conference) held in November 2023 in London.
Built a skill proficiency model to predict skill proficiencies given a resume. Product was sold to Consultancy firms as part of multi million dollar deals. They use this model to recommend upskilling resources to their own clients.
