I am an Assistant Professor 👨🏫 of Computer Science at the Arizona State University, where I work on artificial intelligence with specialization in natural language understanding. I lead the CoRAL: Complex data Reasoning and Analysis Lab (https://coral-lab-asu.github.io), where we work on building trustworthy AI system for Complex Data Types. I am part of the School of Computing and Augmented intelligence at the Ira. A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. Prior to that I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where I work on natural language processing (NLP) problems, especially on semi-structured data. I have a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Utah, where I conducted research on machine learning and NLP applications, and published multiple papers at top conferences. I have over seven years of experience in the field of AI, NLP, and ML, working as a research fellow, intern, and collaborator at prestigious organizations such as Microsoft Research, Bloomberg, Facebook AI, IBM Research, and Verisk. I have received several honors and awards, including the Bloomberg Data Science Fellowship, the Microsoft Research Fellowship, and the Erricson Innovation Award, India (Finalist). I am passionate about developing disruptive products that have the potential to make a direct impact on the industry and society. My mission is to make machines smarter and solve intelligence using the best techniques in AI. I am open to exciting research collaboration opportunities in AI/NLP/ML.
