• Ran a private Equity platform to help startups raise seed capital. One pain point we were trying to solve was to enable equity crowdfunding as a funding mechanism for early stage businesses in India. I began working on the platform in January (after office hours) & decided to go full time in June.

• 1. Getting lured into having a company of your own is easy, the hard part lies in being persistent
• 2. Understanding the legal system behind your idea is very important. In our case, the regulations didn't allow us to publicly solicit investment opportunities companies to investors
• 3. One should have a good understanding before entering a new field. We were new to the industry, had very few contacts & learnt almost everything from scratch. Especially making investors believe in us with zero work experience in the space was a big challenge
