I’m a software engineer, currently working at QRT (and naturalised as a British citizen). I’ve previously worked at The Trade Desk, Spotify, Skyscanner, and Goldman Sachs. My primary competence is back-end engineering, but I have some exposure to data engineering as well. I’m most comfortable writing Python and Java but try to be language-agnostic and have worked with Scala in a professional capacity. I’m passionate about writing reusable and extendable code and have an interest in distributed systems, correctness, and functional programming. In terms of ideal work culture, I tend to do my best work in tech-first organizations with little to no legacy code, engineers as first class citizens and a culture where people are valued as people rather than resources. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, music, quizzing, and video games.
