About

A User Experience Designer; who believes that 'Design is successful when it progresses beyond its function as a solution & a step ahead of the needs of people. It is holistic when it touches the emotions & enriches the life of a person.' 10+ years of experience and bending the skill set to a wide variety of design challenges has helped me in getting to the bottom of products and understanding users from an integrated point of view. I am interested in user-centric design processes with opportunities for design research and translating analysis into workable solutions. I also conduct workshops and learning interventions on Design Thinking for technology organisations as well as academic and non-academic institutions. Currently, my work involves a lot of project planning, conducting design research and strategising digital projects. As a lead role, it has been a step towards growth in handling end to end projects - from requirements gathering to executed delivery. I am an aesthete by heart, an observant birder, and love to travel off the beaten path.

Currently designing HERE Style Editor - a web app that helps customers style their maps and use these with HERE SDKs and other products.
Being in it’s early stages of development, I have seen the app grow while transforming from native to web. While seeing it released and being improved consistently everyday, I have grown as a designer with the team and learnt a lot along the way. I collaborate with software development, and product teams in India, Berlin and USA, throughout the design process by introducing user-centered design across teams.
RESEARCH: While making primary enhancements based on usability analysis and a competitor feature study to the developed product, the parallel goal has been to find ways to conduct user research via qualitative interviews, studying quantitative data via Amplitude reports , continuously test the application in various stages of development and present findings in an actionable manner to the product management group.
DESIGN:
Managing and developing designs based on the identified user needs and painpoints, creating user flows, wireframes, visual design mockups and building prototypes. I have been working alongside the project managers and developers, on iterations and to take up new design tasks in sprint cycles.
Also been a designer for HERE XYZ Studio - a web application that helps GIS analysts and map developers to create customised map data visualisations using their location datasets.
