I show the world the great things you can do when using data analytics and even more when using the KNIME Data Analytics Platform. I find an interesting problem, solve it using a big data strategy or just a traditional data analytics/statistics algorithm, and then brag about it in whitepapers, short articles, tutorials, conferences, and so on.
Here is a list of the main projects I have worked on.
Predicting energy usage for smart meter clusters. This project involved time series, analysis, clustering, data aggregation and transformation.
Predicting energy usage for arbitrarily small smart meter clusters (up to the single smart meter). This was an evolution of the previous project, where due to computational expenses we had to reach a compromise through the clusterization of the smart meters. Here we adopted Hadoop and Spark to push the existing analyttcs to the limit.
Many classical customer intelligence projects: customer segmentation, churn analysis, propensity calculation, scorecards, etc ...
Other IoT projects, such as predicting traffic in smart cities, predicting anomalies in mechanical pieces without previous history
