About

Here's what I am doing: I am working as a Data Engineer with TD bank, where I am a part of the Data Engineering team in TD Corporate. We are migrating a vast data from Canadian personal Banking legacy on-prem applications to Azure Cloud. I am a Computer Engineering graduate from University of Waterloo specializing in Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning. Here's what I can do: - Data Science using - Python, R, Scikit-Learn, Numpy, Pandas, Machine/Deep Learning packages - Data Engineering using - Pyspark, ETL, SQL, BI & Analytics , R, VBA MS Excel - Cloud Computing using - MS Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes - Big data using - PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Scala - Statistical Analysis using - R - Designing using - Adobe Photoshop I have worked with data and teams from different sectors, such as, Pharmaceutical, Engineering and Banking firm. This allows me to tailor the analysis which is personalized for the nature of data or industry that I am working with. Here's is what I learnt from every organization I have worked with: - TD taught me to give most optimum solutions which are simple enough for the team to work with and are efficient enough to get the job done in time giving the maximum accuracy. - Deloitte educated me to remain organized and calm while multitasking. It introduced me to the fast paced Agile work methodologies and tools. - Monsanto (now Bayer) instilled in me the importance of understanding the business and challenge first before diving into the solution straightaway. One Thing to know about me: I come from a creative background. I have been told that my ability to visualize what actually happens with the data, in every function I implement or every algorithm I harness, gives me a leverage to understand the process, right from shaping the problem statement to molding a solution for it. More about me: When not working with data, I am mostly found with clay and canvases or working with scrap materials trying to build something aesthetic and perceptive out of it. I love to stay clean and organized, hence I may or may not unknowingly clean your desk if you sit beside me in the office. How to contact me: I'd love to connect with you, so send me an invite or email me at bisenmimansa@gmail.com

  • The project mainly involved various concepts and applications of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. I worked with data from multiple countries, hence in different languages, in the Asia Pacific region. We were building a database model to store the data, create routines using Oracle SQL developer to cleanse, transform and integrate this data. Data preparation also involves programming using VBA in MS Excel. We also worked on designing analytical models on this data using R based programming and visualisation.
  • Here’s a comment from my Team Lead at Monsanto,
  • "As part of her summer internship, Mimansa worked towards building a common data model for commercial operations for countries in Asia. The work involved studying data collected and used today by countries in south east Asia in excel files and recommending a common structured data model that can accommodate data across countries. For this work Mimansa understood the concepts of ‘entity modeling’ and relational data base design. She was quick to learn the concepts and apply to the project. For moving the data from the unstructured excel files to the database tables she developed VB based programs that make the work easy and repeatable. She also worked on providing some quick analysis on the quality of data using R.
  • Mimansa is a good team player and effectively connected with other people in the organization to get her project work done. She showed eagerness to learn new concepts/tools and apply it to the problem at hand. She was able to make good progress on the project and created a baseline data model that is useful for us to further build on.
  • I would like to appreciate your contribution to this project and wish you all the success in your academic and professional career ahead."
