I have done PhD under Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharya from IIT Bombay, India. My area of interests are Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Statistics. My specific area of work in PhD was Sentiment Analysis (SA). In our work, we addressed four dimensions of polar words: 1. Domain dependence for polarity 2. Domain-dependence for significance 3. Polarity
intensity variation among words that share a common semantic property and 4. Polarity intensity
variation among synonymous words. We report the impact of addition of these dimensions of polar
words in different sentiment analysis applications, such as, in-domain Sentiment Analysis (SA), star-rating prediction, cross-lingual SA and cross- domain SA etc.
