I am a software developer with 13 years of experience, currently focusing on open-source cloud technologies at ShapeBlue. Before this, I spent 12 years as a filesystem development engineer at NetApp, where I designed and implemented On-disk data structures, optimized performance, and handled large, complex codebases. My work also involved leveraging distributed computing to enhance latency and throughput. Prototyped asynchronous clone delete infrastructure for Hierearchically refcounted extent trees.
Was involved in the project which decreases cloning and delete time significantly by refcounting tree indirects.
Worked on Sis clones team in WAFL which focusses on mechanism of cloning file, lun and portions of a run for VM provisioning and Backup use cases. Was Involved in the project for parallelizing the algorithm to run synchronously on multiple processors. Added the functionality to move a subtree directly from source to the clone file increasing improving the speed of the cloning process.
